read a few reviews on this lens and found one for a good price, thought not much to loose. What a surprise !!This lens is very sharp has great color and focuses fast as well. I use it on my Sony A850 and A580. Very glad I bought this lens.. I shoot in low light and the 2.8 makes this lens a top performer!!! Well worth the money.

I use this lens with my sony A700. Fast and, as far as I can tell, sharp lens. It is heavier than I first thought but I am glad that I didn't get the Sigma 24-70 monster. Since it is a 36-90mm range lense, you have to walk around a little more than you might have to with some other lenses but oh well. You get used to it. I am not complaining.
