4.0 out of 5 stars comprehensive but too long for average reader, May 24, 2000
This review is from: The Sign: A Personal Study Guide (Paperback)
This companion study guide to "The Sign" walks you through just about every important sentence in the book, but really gets you to think about what you have read. You cannot simply read a sentence and then forget about it, or ignore it. It forces you to make decisions about each thought and to put your answer in writing. It is written in a question and answer format for all 22 chapters.

On the downside, it is so long that it may take you a year to really contemplate each question and to write your answers, so it may be best suited as a classroom aid. There is a good amount of repetition of certain material, and it seems as though the authors want to justify each and every statement made in the book. While this may be a noble task, it makes the book too long for the average reader (well, for me anyway.) I would like to see a more condensed version that highlights the main critical thoughts and yet retains the comprehensiveness that the authors were seeking.

5.0 out of 5 stars So You want to Know about the End Times?, December 27, 2005
This review is from: The Sign: A Personal Study Guide (Paperback)
I really liked this study guide because it is thorough. It also breaks the subject matter down into bite sized pieces so that you can more easily assimilate the information. I especially like how everything that is stated in the book is backed up with Scripture. The Study Guide will have you look up each Scripture reference so that you can read it for yourself and determine whether it trully supports what the book says or if the author has taken it out of context. I wish I'd had the study guide available the first time I read "The Sign."
