5.0 out of 5 stars Sign of Seven
Nora Roberts at her very best. The Sign of Seven Trilogy encorperates mystery, a touch of romance, and a whole bunch of suspense. All begins when 3 boys decide to spend their 10th birthday out in the woods, away from parental control and interference. The simple act of male bravado unleashes an ancient evil. 3.0 out of 5 stars Something for the rainy days!
The Sign of Seven Trilogy is easy to read from the book one to book three. It's not the best Nora Roberts I've read but it's not the worst either. If you have ever read trilogys from Roberts, you propably know what will happen in the end of book three, just by reading the book one. This trilogy, however, is different from most of her previous ones. It gives you more than...

For a full seven days every seven year since that fateful day twenty-eight years earlier, the boys have fought to keep that ancient evil at bay. This year promises to be the final battle. The evil is growing stronger, unless the three young men, along with three women who have been drawn to area, find a way to stop it, the evil will not return to its long slumber. Will their love survive to find the key to defeat this evil?

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply ENJOYED, January 6, 2010

If you're looking for something deeper than the teenager YA books - this is it. I've been searching for something sort of grown up & believable but not "old". Well I found what I was looking for in this "30 something" group of 6. Enjoying these smart, young adults and their story was worth my time.

At age ten, a camping trip bonded 3 boys for life. In quaint, small town USA, the evil surfaces every 7 years and these boys, now men, have been fighting It since they were 17. Now, the time has come for the ultimate eruption of evil and now comes the addition of 3 "out of town" females. Without full disclosure, I must say this resourceful group of 6 is believable and, at times, down right hysterical.

3 Men - a hippie lawyer, a home town biz owner and a World gambler.
3 Women - a Paranormal/myth buster writer, a NY, NY store manager & a gypsy type w/ knowledge up the ying yang.

NR wrote in such a way that I could relate to not just one, but all of them. Along w/ the enjoyable characters, add a spin of paranormal evil, folklore, romance, genealogy and mystery and you have one hell of a story. I laughed, felt anxious, at times giggled like a 15yr old and was enthralled with the mysteries. Started with book one and went straight through the end of 3 in less than 2 weeks.

Word of advice - push through the first chapter or two. It didn't impress me at first and then in the end it gets a little crazy w/ alot happening. Other than that - this was a great read for this "40 something" paranormal lovin' Mom!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wait till you read book 3!, September 6, 2009

I have been a NR fan for decades now. And let me tell you - Book 3 was SO awesome! I love her trilogies - but I laughed so hard I cried. You HAVE to read the set: great characters, strong women (who help save the men this time) and such FUN. Loved it!

It gives you more than just a typical love story.Yes, it has three men and three women and yes, they all fall in love, but If you're keen to magic and paranormal things it's definitely worth to read.

Blood Brothers was the first book I ever read of Nora Roberts. I was glued from the beginning. I didn't realize it at the time it was a trilogy. I about died when I finished the first and realized it continued. I was relieved to find the second book was already out which I ordered IMMEDIATELY. I am now a die hard Nora Roberts fan!!

I had bought this trilogy a few years ago before I got my nook and I loaned the books to someone who wanted to read them... well it's been two years and I haven't gotten them back so when I saw that Amazon had them for the AMAZING price of $16.30 well naturally I had to get them...I would have gotten them for my Kindle (which I love more than Nook) but decided I wanted them in paperback...This trilogy will keep you reading till your eyes burn and you absolutely have to stop reading...had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and even my husband read them..we were done with reading them in less than five day..it's a trilogy that i want to read over and over again along with two other trilogies written by Nora Roberts...these are not heavy into the romance thing as that is not my genre but these held my attention !!!!!
