Had to Learn More, March 25, 2011
While driving home I heard a couple of minutes of one of the songs in "Jazz en Seis Cuerdas" in our University radio station,and was really intrigued by this guitarist that I did not know at the time. So I ordered A Sign of the Times and I am really enjoying it. Besides Fascinating Rhythm, Bayside blues, Georgia on My Mind, and In Your Own Sweet Way are outstanding. This is the recording where I've enjoyed Hank Jones piano the most, and Ray Brown as always is superb. Indeed worth ordering. The exchanges between Jones, Brown, and Farlow are great. If you love the music of Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Joe Pass, Benny Green, this recording belongs in your collection.
