This singer is a "long lost leader" whose music is far better than many of the entertainers who clone their styles to sound like today's pop hero. It's very sad that Trent doesn't get the recognition that he deserves. This cd collection is a great place to start if you want to discover a first rate performer who is definitely ahead of his time. Just take a minute and sample a few of the tracks and you'll see what I'm talking about. I characterise Trent's music as a blend of Prince, Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, and George Michael. Add to that his original style and you come up with a very interesting recepie that is sure to delight listeners of all ages.

TTD was from the sam cooke of vocals and he was the Link between Bobby Womack to R.Kelly in that ability to bridge R&B and Pop with a strong Gospel vibe. TTD has a strong vocal pressence and His songwriting is very poetic. this collection captures all of his hits and shows a artist who truly made some noise. very talented cat.

I am giving this 1 star only for the quality of the sound not the artist.

Huge TTD fan, i have all his albums, even the awful jazz one with his new name.

Borrowed this cd to check out the sound with cool edit and wow was it terrible!

Let's say most cds are maxed out at 100% in terms of RMS well this one is normalised at about 30%.

Please take my advice and avoid this stinker, his greatest hits released by Sony is fine, stick with that one folks.

i totally dig mr. darby! one underated cat for sure. and it's nice to have all his hits on two cds. if you're into music with diviserty. then this is a good place to start.

I have always been a fan of TTD, he is an epic talent who has unique skills as an artist. His body of work is timeless and will remain modern classics. In this technology driven music era (autotunes etc.) collections like these remind us of the eighties and ninties which was the best time for music. Hope one day I can catch him on tour though I think he is retired. True talent totally not given his due.
