Book Description

Twelve people. Twelve star signs.

Sagittarius - Holly, a travel writer, visits Tuscany to research her next book. Seeking help when her car breaks down, she gets more than assistance when Dario, a vineyard owner, puts temptation in her path. Disappearing without explanation, he proves elusive. Bruised, Holly tries to put it behind her until a chance encounter brings her feelings to the surface again.

Capricorn – Holly’s fiancé, Tom misses her while she is in Italy and turns to an internet chat room for solace. His construction business is under threat, but could foul play be at work?

Gemini - Holly’s sister, Lucy, a serial man-eater finally meets her match, which puts her long-term relationship and career in jeopardy. Cheating she discovers, can have devastating consequences.

Libra - Holly’s uncle Jack, an eminent prosecutor, juggles a difficult teenage son with his high profile career and finds himself lacking. When his son’s school work starts slipping, he decides he needs to take control, but it’s not long before the balls all come tumbling down and Jack finds his family on the wrong side of the law.

One event binds them all…

4.0 out of 5 stars I hope that there will be book two. May 13, 2012
By Marina
Format:Kindle Edition
This was very different book than the others, in a positive way. Twelve people, twelve signs of the zodiac, twelve different stories gathered in one. Twelve different characters, every single one with different thoughts and opinions.

Holly, Sagittarius, is a travel writer. She travels to Italy to do a research for her new book. Ahhhh, Italy, Bel Paese, my favorite country. I enjoyed being with Holly on her journey in Tuscany, eating Italian food, speaking Italian, meeting Dario, gorgeous Italian.

Tom, Capricorn, is Holly's fiancé. His fiancée is not there, he is lonely, so he goes to internet chat room. Will internet chatting turn to something more?

Maggie, Aquarius is everlasting student. After her marriage fell apart, she has returned to what she knew the best, studying and teaching.

Jennifer, Pisces, is Maggie's best friend. She takes care for her ill mother. She sacrificed her personal life to be there for her mom. I've been a caregiver by myself, so it was easy for me to find myself into her story. I could feel Jennifer's pain seeing her mother suffering. Her life changed when she met Ben. She wants to be happy, but her duties always come first. But Ben has some skeletons in his closet. Can Jennifer handle with them?

Those were just some of the characters. Just to get you into the story. I am Virgo, so I couldn't wait to read what was the story for Virgo person. I loved it. I loved all the characters, well, most of them. Some of them were cheaters, some liars, but they were all looking for their personal happiness. I was wondering how would this story end, how were all these people connected. I was expecting some more dramatic end, but this leaves a place for book two. I hope that there will be book two. I liked the way the stories were narrated, I liked the flow, the vivid descriptions of the places. I also liked that the author has made this story international including Italians and Poles, also including some Italian and Polish phrases. I would recommend this story for everyone. I am sure that everyone can find a little bit of him/herself in some of the twelve stories in this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings. July 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The plot jumped around too often. It brought together many interesting stories and characters but we had forgotten about one, whilst several others were introduced, then we had to remember details for the plot to go forward. Would have benefited from some editing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining! April 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
It is an amazing story, written in a way that made me not wanting to put the book down, but at the same time I wanted it to last loooong. I am impressed of all the different people described, and I liked the surprices. Now I want to know what happens next to these people!

Sign of the Times

I always wanted to write a novel with characters based around the signs of the zodiac, their personality traits, jobs etc. I took a year off work to finish it, as I had been writing it for 6 years in my spare time and was only half way through. Writing a novel with 12 key characters was a mammoth challenge, but I loved it. I hope you do too. I love to travel and some of the places in the novel, are places I have been to. When I read, I love to read books about foreign parts that I have visited - it immerses me more in the story. I wanted to do the same in my own novel. I love reading, always have - romantic fiction, crime, contemporary drama, pretty much everything.
