Book Description

As in most areas of science and engineering, the most important and useful theories are the ones that capture the essence, and therefore the beauty, of physical phenomena. This is true of signals and systems. Signals and Systems: Analysis Using Transform Methods and MATLAB captures the mathematical beauty of signals and systems and offers a student-centered, pedagogically driven approach. The author has a clear understanding of the issues students face in learning the material and does a superior job of addressing these issues. The book is intended to cover a two-semester sequence in Signals and Systems for juniors in engineering.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible experience, September 5, 2004
Not a good book at all as an introductory signal class. I'd suggest to use books by B.P Lath, and stay away from this book as far as possible.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad book, select much better books by Laithi or Oppenheim, July 5, 2004
By A Customer
Terrible book. Would recommend books such as Oppenheim's Signals and Systems or Laithi's Linear Systems and Signals.

A very good book on the subject that is easy to follow as a quick guide is Signals and Systems Made Ridiculously Simple
by Zoher Z. Karu.

Stay away from Roberts book if at all possible. Confuses even easy to understand topics.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this book if possible, November 7, 2005
By
FrustStudent (Ottawa, Ontario) - See all my reviews
As a 3rd year EE student I have seen a lot of textbooks. This one is one of the worst textbooks I have seen. The topics covered by this book are very important but are explained very poorly. The explanations are longwinded and the few examples are far from useful. I would avoid this book if possible.
