5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty and versatile
I bought two sets of these ramekins in ivory and am very pleased with them. They have more flair than most other sets I looked at, mirroring the look of Juliska without the cost, and blended right in with my other dinnerware. In my opinion, one ramekin from this set is just the right size for serving one person, which is what I'd hoped for. And though I do use them to...

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst packaging ever
The ramekins may be great, I wouldn't know. The UPS man delivering them noticed the rattling in the box so we opened it up at the door. There was no packaging to speak of and all the contents were smashed. Anybody on the sending side must have known that there was no hope for these items to be delivered intact. The delivery was refused. I had noted that others had...

And though I do use them to hold custards, puddings, creme brulees, and other desserts, they're also very useful for dips, salsas, and spreads (such as pesto).
**Just something to consider: Though the bolder color choices are appealing, you may prefer to go with ivory or gold. These neutrals go well with whatever you put in them, regardless of the food's color, and if you plan to use them for desserts, the color won't detract from or upstage them.**

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely ivory ramekins, May 20, 2008

These may be the same size as a 'standard' ramekin, but they seem about 2 oz. larger -- great for me, since I used to overfill individual servings.

The ivory wash is 'antiqued' with a touch of dark accents, very attractive and again, something nicer than the standard ramekin. The food is still the star of the show, but these are a great alternative if you want something more than a plain vanilla design.

5.0 out of 5 stars Attractive and Useful, June 10, 2010

I really love these adorable remekins. They're just the right size for individual servings of hot or cold foods. They can be used to store small amounts of food in the refrigerator that can go right into the microwave and then to the table. I especially enjoy using mine for serving French onion soup and fruit cobblers. The plain ivory color is "fancied up" by a very attractive, three-dimensional design that is part of the outside surface.

5.0 out of 5 stars so cute, so versatile, November 24, 2009
By
I own a couple sets of these ramekins in gold, green and ivory. I have never used them as a standard ramekin, ie. to make custard or souffle or whatever, so don't know how they perform in that sense. They are an attractive accent to my white everyday dishes and a perfect size for a variety of other uses: they hold baby carrots and other veggies at dinner every night, also great for dip, or even ice cream or pudding. I am planning to use them to hold the splenda and sugar packets at Thanksgiving this year. good value.

These ramekins are absolutely darling! They're the perfect individual serving size, and they bring a classy country to feel to the place setting. I love using them! You can bake in them, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very beautiful and useful ramekins, November 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered the burgundy ramekins and I must say they are simply beautiful. The packaging was secure; all four of them arrived in one peace. I've been looking for ramekins that were both great looking and great in function. So far, I am very satisfied with these ramekins.

I am a young cook, and I usually cook for myself, so using ramekins is a great way to make single serving foods and also a great way to make smaller portions. I've posted a picture of my favorite thing to cook in the ramekins, which is single serving lasagna. It comes out perfect every time!

I would recommend these ramekins to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but not the same antique finish as shown in the picture, September 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I expected the color to be lighter on the highspots - antiqued - but they are just solid color. Still pretty. The size of these ramekins are perfect for chicken pot pies! Probably too big/tall for an individual custard, creme brulee... Still, I'm not going to return them.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT IDENTICAL and do not stack. . . ., June 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
XLARGE personal size ramekins! These ramekins are a generous 11 ounces in size, heavy duty, d/w, oven, microwave, and freezer safe! But they are irregular in size so do not stack nicely in the cupboard, if that is important to you. Also, two of our shipment have a creamy light brown glaze inside, and the other two have white glaze inside, but the outside glazes all match. These ramekins are made in China, so seem expensive for an offshore product. We chose RED (Ruby) for a spot of color on the table - besides its very FESTIVE!
