Love it
I had seen this new ruby color in a specialty store locally and wanted it for Christmas dinnerware. I was happy to have found it on Amazon for less money and free shipping. You can't beat that. This Sorrento line of dinnerware is great.

Factory Seconds!!
I've had this set for years and love it, so when I broke a bowl and bought a few to add to the set I was shocked. AMAZON IS SELLING SECONDS AS IF THEY'RE REGULAR DISHWARE!! The set is ivory with rust colored highlights. The bowls that I recieved are, if fact, ivory, but the rust is either on part of the bowl (bottom only) or not at all. The highlights are...

Signature Housewares Sorrento 90-Ounce Medium Mixing Bowl, Ruby is a decent product. Pricey for what you get in stoneware. Heavy,freezer to oven to table stuff. Too bad you have to buy by piece rather than complete set.

Although labeled as a mixing bowl, I anticipate it being used as a serving bowl for a family sized salad or vegetable. Love the color and style.

I bought two of these bowls for a friend's housewarming. I was very impressed when they came and really like the weight of the bowls. The finish is quite nice too; only time will tell if the glaze will hold up, but for the price... you can't go wrong. They appear to be in demand because I ordered them before Christmas and I only just got the 70 oz bowl off backorder.

The highlights are supposed to be irregular, but not only on the bottom of the bowl. If you have the set these will not match. If you just want a pretty, sturdy, off-white bowl it's great.

I bought this and another similar, larger one in this same series, for a big dinner I was having for the neighbors. As a single girl who's lived in 7 places in the last 10 years (one outside the US) I just didn't have many serving items suitable for a dinner for 12 or so... It's called a "mixing bowl" but sure makes a fine serving bowl.I like the earthy yellow color, looks good with nice green veggies in it. Very heavy and substantial. Totally happy with it! |
