When I received my order, I loved the look of the canisters. They looked exactly as they did online. I was glad that the color was true to the pictures at Amazon.

However, once I stored sugar in one of my canisters, the problem with the "airtight" seal became apparent. Water got into the sugar and it hardened. The problem is that the seals are cheap. They don't seem to be made for this set. They make it difficult to seat the lid on its base properly. On the other hand, the seals come off so easily (some may say too easily) that they're easy to clean.

High quality, good airtight seal, and the color was as expected. Description of volume in everyday terms would have been helpful, i.e. largest canister will hold a 5-lb bag of flour, sugar,etc. Largest canister will hold 5 lbs of sugar, but not flour.

This is the best canister set I've seen. The lids fit tightly and the quality is very nice. Fortunately, I was able to view the product at a store before ordering at Amazon! Also, the Signature Housewares Rectangular Platter fits perfectly under the set and gives a nice and tidy appearance! Also, the platter fits a loaf of bread which is very useful.

When my canister set arrived I found that the lids on two of the canisters didn't fit properly. I contacted Signature Housewares and they promptly arranged for a replacement.

I am very happy with the product and even happier with the customer service I received.

I won't hesitate to buy from them again.

I am really pleased with the canister set and other coordinating pieces. I needed some color in my otherwise-neutral kitchen and wanted some back-saving countertop storage. The Sorrento coordinates were the best by far that I found. I ordered the canister set, utensil jar, and large mixing bowl in ruby. The canisters aren't being used for baking ingredients--they hold dishwasher tabs (small canister), lotion & sink stoppers (medium), and kitchen scraps for the compost pile (large)--all attractively under cover of the sealing lids. The utensil jar holds cooking knives, and the large bowl is for fresh onions and garlic. The pieces all look great on my countertops. The designer made slightly different use of the same motifs (leaves and dots) on each piece, which gives some interest and eye appeal. They would look good with many styles of decor: country, contemporary, Tuscan, etc. They are well-made and I think a very good value!

I am very happy with the Sorrento Canisters. The color is as shown online and they have a nice solid construction.

I am happy with my purchase. The color of the canisters matches closely enough with my red KitchenAid mixer and toaster. Each canister has a slightly different design which makes the look more interesting. The knobs on the top make opening the canisters easy and the seals are tight but not too tight where you need to use both hands to remove the lid. They were packaged very well and arrived with no damages. Shipping was extremely fast too. No complaints from me.

This is a cute canister set... looks great on the counter. The design embossed into the ceramic adds a nice touch to make each piece unique, yet still has a uniform appearance. The color is nice, but I wouldn't really call it "burgundy" as advertised. It is more of a wine/apple mixture... don't really know what the real name would be for that color! I read a lot of opinions about the seals before I bought this set... no, they won't be waterproof if that's important to you (they're not that tight), but they do seal well enough to keep your flour/sugar fresh. My only disappointment is that I was hoping the largest one would be big enough to hold a 5lb. bag of flour, but that isn't the case. The largest one will hold a bag of sugar, the medium one holds a bag of brown sugar, and I'm using the smallest for storing our homemade hot cocoa. Overall, a good ceramic set (especially for the price) that looks cute on your counter.

I loved this canister set. Very pretty style and very sturdy but the color was not true to the picture on the website. I ordered burgundy and it was more a dusty rose pink. I returned it for a refund.

I bought these canisters to add some red accent to my yellow kitchen. They are a true red and go well with my red Kitchen Aid toaster and tea kettle. I had no problem with the lids as some other reviewers had. The large canister has lots of room and would also work well as a cookie jar. I am very pleased with the set and highly recommend it.....Great price! As always, Amazon ordering & delivery were exceptional!...thanks Amazon!
