About the Artist
Susan Osborn is an internationally acclaimed singer and educator who performed and recorded with the Paul Winter Consort for 8 years and for the past 10 years has been recording, performing and teaching in Japan, including three recordings of traditional Japanese melodies in English and performing at the 1998 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Nagano, Japan. In 2000, her first recording of original songs in 15 years, ReUnion, was released by her company Golden Throat. This year she reunited with former Consort members Paul Halley and Nancy Rumbel to record Still Life, classical melodies with lyrics written by her and her husband David Densmore. She continues to teach a class called Silence and Song around the world, a class that explores the power of singing to generate silence and presence. In 1999, she and David opened the Living Room, a Salon for Music and Art on Orcas Island.
