This is a criminal story that keeps your breath away to the end. A small quiet community is shaken by a psychopathic killer, who seems to do his crimes undisturbed. The only clue for investigation is the voice. The voice of one of the criminals heard on the phone. The author uses perfectly this little clue to start an investigation. The friends of the wrongfully accused policeman, use today's high technology to investigate this voice and catch the criminal. The investigation reminds me of Agatha Christie's books. Will the truth triumph at the end? I liked the book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read criminal stories.

The Signature of a Voice - the strangeness of the title caught my attention, and I guessed it was about that unique quality of voice, that strange feeling when you hear a voice on the phone from the distant past and know just who it is. Unbelievable how Johnny John Heinz threads this notion into the plot of a high tech criminal investigation.
As the scene opens in a warehouse I wonder for a moment is this Resevoir Dogs, and then the action catches me and holds me to the end. Going on holiday? Don't leave home without it.

THE SIGNATURE OF A VOICE is a cat-and-mouse game between a violent trio, led by a psychopathic killer, and a police officer on suspension, teamed with his wife and a psychiatrist. Move and countermove in this chess game is planned and enacted. The reader, in the position of god, knows who is guilty and who plans what, but just as in chess, the opponents' plans thwart one another. The outcomes twist and turn to the final curtain fall.
