The film was a huge critical hit and a surprise box office hit and even though it eventually lost the best picture Oscar to the inferior 'Crash" it will most certainly be considered the classic film down the road. Both actors received and lost acting Oscars. A wonderful and uncommon souvenir from the film. Fine.
