About the Author
Susan Jaeschke is Jazz, short for Jeaschke. The nickname reflects her approach to life improvisational and contrapuntal, much like jazz music.
Jazz writes stories and poems of moments in time some current, some remembered, some imagined. Her work reflects the ever prevailing need to balance opposing forces tugging at her energies.
A West Texas native of Monahans, Jazz has also spent many years in South Florida and Central Texas. Recently retired from a career in software engineering and technical writing. She lives in Austin, Texas.
Jazz's poetry and essays have appeared in newsletters, journals, chapbooks and anthologies. This is her first collection of memoir poetry.
