Realistically deals with complex issues in well defined text,
By Bonnie B. Walker (Baton Rouge, LA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Significant Others (Paperback)
Boy! was I mistaken. I passed over Ms. Kitt's book too often and delayed enjoying a really good book. She shows true depth in her character development while dealing with complex issues like prejudice, identity crisies, bi-racial and uni-racil relationships and preferences, single parenting, teen pregnancy and drug abuse, peer pressure, corporate pressures and last but not least senuality between a man and a woman. I was thankful she refrained from referring to Patricia as "Red". Good job Ms. Kitt! I will certainly be looking for more of your works. Thanks for the refreshing change from the ho-hum romance/fiction work out there and for giving your readers "something to think about"; some substance.

SANDRA KITT HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Significant Others (Paperback)
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! I was very impressed by this book. I thought that Ms. Kitt's "Color of Love" was great, but this topped that one by a long shot. I enjoyed reading the real life situations, and how Patricia related to the children in her school. I really enjoyed the way the relationship started and blossomed into a rich love. It made me want to fall in love with my husband all over again. My hats off to you, Ms. Kitt, and please, please keep up the good work!!

A Good, Consistant Read,
This review is from: Significant Others (Paperback)
SIGNIFICANT OTHERS was lengthy, yet, for a reason. The characters were fleshed out carefully and a story was developed nicely. My favorite was Kent, not because of his biracial heritage, but because of his struggle with himself to fit in somewhere...anywhere, for that matter. Kudos, Ms Kitt. A worthy accomplishment for anyone who has felt left out and want to join the human race on his or her best terms.
