5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Things!, January 5, 2005
This review is from: Signing Time! Volume 6: My Favorite Things VHS (VHS Tape)
What an incredible video! The creators of this video series have really outdone themselves in Volume 6 of Signing Time.

Children and adults can learn ASL Signs for Colors, Fruits, Veggies, Activities and feeling positive about things that they can accomplish.

The Songs "I'm Really Good" and "Shine" are so beautiful they bring tears to my eyes. "The Rainbow Song" is so much fun I catch myself singing it all the time! "5 A Day" is all about eating healthy food, but it's absolutely silly if you attempt to Sign it as quickly as Rachel Coleman... try not tangle yourself up in knots! If you've mastered the "Silly Pizza Song" from Volume 3, this one's for you!

I recommend these videos to anyone who has children or cares for children - whether they are hearing, deaf, hard of hearing, typically developing or have special challenges. I have seen these videos help so many families and allow children to communicate where they once couldn't.

The Colemans and Browns (Alex and Leah's families) have the ability to change lives with their talent, energy, creativity, enthusiasm and their dedication to ALL children.

Keep those videos coming!

We love this video series! My 20-month-old son has learned many, many signs and he loves these videos. We started watching the first video in this series when he was 1 year old. I even enjoy watching them too! (This is a big deal since the other kids shows get really old after a while.) This video is a really good one because he learns about fruits and vegetables. For example, he can now ask for a carrot when he wants one. Also included in this video is sitting, waiting, running, jumping and dancing. For us this is important because when when there's a time that he needs to sit and wait I can explain it to him using sign language and I think that he is better able to understand. In other situations I'm able to tell him, "Go run!" so that he knows that there are times when it is OK run around and be as well.
