Respectful and informational,
This review is from: Signs from the Ancestors: Zuni Cultural Symbolism and Perceptions of Rock Art (Publications of the American Folklore Society) (Paperback)
An insightful, respectful, objective, and detailed examination of rock art in the Zuni Pueblo area of Northwestern New Mexico and Northeastern Arizona. The author carefully provides both an objective and subjective context of the rock art, from both an historical framework and most importantly from the viewpoint of the current Zuni people themselves. It is through this reverent approach that the rock art symbols maintain their vitality and power as both sacred signs from the past and beacons of the present.

Recycled paper paperback. Poor diagrams and poorly written. As a working artist this has been one of my worst purchases...throway book...
