5.0 out of 5 stars Jazz Guitarist Extraordinaire!, March 11, 2004

David Vogel (New York, New York USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Signs of Life (Audio CD)
I've been a fan of Jeff's for years, after first hearing him at the 55 bar playing with Mark Egan and Danny Gottlieb. If there's one word to describe his style its SMOOTH. On this album Jeff's music is quite similar to Pat Metheney's. However, where Metheney can be somewhat ethereal, Ciampa stays focused and rewards the listener with highly coherent, surprisingly accessible, beautiful tunes.
