Forget JLo, and the tabloid press, and just listen to the beauty of Marc Anthony's voice. He shines particularly on the pure hot salsa numbers. The ballads are all a little saccharine with all those violin strings, but the voice is still magic. It's a mystery why the songs in Spanish are always superior to the ones in English. Perhaps English just isn't a very romantic language. Anyhow, if you are looking for arrangements that have the big horn section power of Sinatra and the masculine voice to match, don't go buy Harry Connick Jr., give Marc Anthony a try.

A very good CD! Celos, Tu Amor Me Hace Bien and Que Precio Tiene El Cielo which is burning on the Radio in Boston is awesome, great musical Salsa arrangements on these songs...very intoxicating!

Lamento Jibaro...is a great sad Puerto Rican story with a nice old style musical arrangement which takes you back to the Island for those whom can relate and undertand the story behind the lyrics to this song.

A great CD for New Marc fans to endulge in his Spanish Music for starters.

Excellent CD!!!

The only problem is that if you buy this collection thinking you can skip some of his albums, you are MISSING OUT.

He could have made 3 greatest hits CDs with his albums within this time span.

This CD has some good songs, but Marc Anthony has left out the songs that made him great. Where is "Contra La Corriente" or "Y Hubo Alguien" or "Hasta Que Te Conoci".

If you want to sample the true greatness of Marc Anthony, skip this one and go listen to "Desde un Principio: From the Beginning" That CD is his greatest.

You dont have to speak spanish to enjoy good latin music. Marc Anthony is one of best vocal musicians out there. It makes great music for a candle light dinner with the right lady. I personally recommend it for anyone.

I had not bought one of Marc's albums in a while and the playlist looked good, so i bought it, and to my surprise ITS ONE OF MY FAV cds.
Marc still got it, hes voice is one of a kind. Buy this one, is worth it!

Personally, I love Marc Anthony. I think he's a wonderful singer and I prefer his Spanish music moreso than his English music. I think the Spanish is more... soulfull, emotional than his English. This CD is a collection of his Spanish Greatest Hits, if you will, so it won't be anything new.

-Dímelo is the first song it starts out with, which is the Spanish version of "I need to know". If you've heard the song in English or Spanish, you know how it is. A bit faster pace song.

-No Me Ames (Ballad Version) is the second song. I've heard the salsa version of this song as well and I have to say, I love this version more than the salsa. It sounds much more beautiful in a slower pace than a faster, salsa pace. The emotion comes across stronger.

-Da La Vuelta, third song. Not bad, but I'm just not entirely crazy about it myself.

-Muy Dentro De Mí (You Sang To Me) (Spanish Version), fourth song. Self explainatory. You sang to me in Spanish.

-Ahora Quien, eight song. Personally, this is my favorite song, not only here but in general. I think it's a beautiful ballard and a lovely tragic song. I also love the slower, ballard version of the song over the salsa version and I'm glad this one included is the ballard version.

-Valio La Pena (Salsa Version). A faster, salsa song, which is beautiful. This is another song I love.

-Tu Amor Me Hace Bien (Salsa Version). It's a salsa version, so it is a faster pace as well. This one, along with valio la pena, are both beautiful love songs.

-Lo Que No Di, it's a bit slower, almost ballard type, of a song. I love it and think it's beautiful, but because it's slow, it's not for most people.

All the songs are lovely, beautiful and a great collection to have, but I just reviewed a couple songs. If you love Marc Anthony and would love to have a collection of his songs together, this would be it for you.

When is Marc Anthony coming out with something new?
Seems like he stopped working on new stuff once he married J Lo.
What a waste of talent.
Soon he'll be 50 years old and the voice won't be the same!

Whether Marc Anthony sings in Spanish or English, his voice is quite strong and memorable, to say the least. Marc Anthony possesses the clear and exceptional talent to use his voice as a finely tuned instrument; he can sing some of the most beautiful ballads and songs I've ever heard. There are very special numbers on this album; and the quality of the sound couldn't be any better. In addition, I really like that artwork.

"Dímelo (I Need To Know)" was a big hit in English for Marc; he sings this faultlessly in both Spanish and English. The song has a very romantic, passionate flavor to it and I love every second of it. Marc's excellent diction enhances his singing all the more, too. We then get the "ballad version" of "No Me Ames;" this has Marc and Jennifer Lopez delivering this seemingly effortlessly. Of course, we know it really wasn't all that easy; their combined talent easily carries them through. There's yet another gem in the Spanish version of "You Sang To Me;" this is a major highlight of this album and just one listen will tell you why! The percussion is used very well and I love how they play those guitars!

"Tragedia (Tragedy)" has a great beat that makes it another stand-out on this CD; Marc sings beautifully and he never lets go of a single superfluous note! "Barco A La Deriva" (which roughly translates to "A Drifting Boat or Ship") is very well done; this number has a flavor to it that I always enjoy. Great!

"Ahora Quien (Now Who)" shines bright in Marc Anthony's capable hands; the music fits perfectly with his vocals and that's grand. There's the first of several salsa tunes, "Valio La Pena (It Was Worth The Effort);" this has a good sound to it that leaves little if anything to be desired--Marc Anthony's music is all THAT good. "Se Esfuma Tu Amor (which roughly means "Your Love Is Fading")" gets a most passionate treatment from Marc Anthony and the musicians; but wisely the musicians never even try to steal the show away from Marc--he remains squarely front and center which is right where he belongs!

"Tu Amor Me Hace Bien" is another terrific salsa number that has s much energy when Marc Anthony performs it; and listen for Marc to outdo even himself on "Lamento Brincano." "Lo Que No Di" is quite striking; and the CD ends well with Marc Anthony performing a splendid salsa rendition of "Que Precio Tiene El Cielo." It's wonderful!

Marc Anthony never does anything but his very best; and albums like this one prove that he's got incredible talent. I highly recommend this for his fans; and it also makes a fine starter CD for people just getting into the magical artistry of Marc Anthony.

This cd is great, it made me reminisce all the way to the beginning years of Marc Anthony, it shows how great his music is and how he has grown through out the years in his music. It has something out of all his cd's all in one, it doesn't get any better than that.
