I had two trigger grip tire inflators (one of them had an awfully designed chuck so I bought the other) and they were both for Schrader valves. So I bought this and a small hose clamp and replaced the chuck I didn't like.

This pump head is probably not as great as the older Silca pump heads, but it does the job. The description said that it was brass, but when it arrived it was the spun aluminum head - while I really liked the look of the brass one I got over this pretty quickly. When buying tubes to use with this pump head I would recommend those with the longer and smooth (not threaded) stems. This will work on the threaded ones, but it puts a lot more wear on the rubber gasket, and it is harder to pull off cleanly.

Otherwise, this is a clean, simple design, that makes putting a precise amount of air in your tires much easier - there is very little air lost when removing the head from the stem. I'm quite happy with my setup.

I had a great old Silca track pump but it was impossible to find more neoprene inserts for the tiny pump head it came with that they probably discontinued more than 15 years ago. So I bought this pump head and I'm glad I did. It updates the pump and is such a pleasure to use. When you're looking for something designed to last forever (well, at least until you can't get the rubber inserts anymore) here is your pump head.

I bought one of these (mine looks a little different) and used a hose-clamp to hold it on my Avinir floor-pump's hose - seven years ago.

I use it for Presta, only, but it has served my friends and I well right before many mountain biking and road biking treks.

I purchased this to replace a worn out valve on my old floor pump. I have to say that this by far does the job and it does it in a fairly simply way. The rubber seal locks out the valve and allows you to pump without having to screw on the valve to the tube. Pop on ... pump to spec... then pop off. Of course this will only work with a presta valve and not the other kind. Definitely worth the money.
