5.0 out of 5 stars Delerium beats & Sarah McLachlan vocals = Great Song!, July 12, 2001

The remixes of this track are outstanding. The "DJ Tiesto" & "Sanctuary Fade" mixes are awesome. Sarah McLachlan should do vocals for more trance/dance tunes... I would definitely buy them. She has one of best voices that I have ever heard. If you are from my area check-out DJ Acid's CD "Gotta Have Breaks" that includes "Silence" (This is the original mix, which is down-tempo, but you will still dig it!) and Delerium's other blow-up "Daylight", which I believe is better than "Silence". If you can find any of Delerium's other stuff, definitely check it out. I highly recommend it. If you liked my review, then don't forget to vote. THANKS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful song ... vocals ... music ... beautiful mixture, July 16, 2003

So what do you get when you take the concept of Engima, well known songs, and the original singer's voice? Well, you get the group Delerium.

In the case of Silence, the voice and song are Sarah McLachlan's ... and the end result is a very cool tune. For those Trance and Techno fans out there ... this CD Single takes this interesting collaboration to the next level. The remixes of Silence presented here are incredibly easy to listen to and to dance to ... preserving all of the ethereal qualities of Ms. McLachlan's voice along with the expected trance/techno beats and sounds.

Note: If you are unfamiliar with Delerium ... well the Fade Remix is probably the mix that best describes their work ... think Enigma (MCMXC A.D.) ... this CD is basically the dance remixes and the music, tempo and beats are a lot more amped up than normal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bravo!, April 18, 2003

This CD is excellent. Silence is an awesome song and to have 6 remixes of it is great! The first 3 are edited versions of the DJ Tiesto, Fade and Airscape remixes and the last 3 are the full length versions. I am very pleased with this CD and its's playing time of 43:22. It's like a mini-album of various versions of one great song! I have the album by Sarah McLachlan where the DJ Tiesto In Search Of Sunrise Remix is on there. It's on her Remixed album and it's great too! Way to go Sarah and Delerium!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is the ONLY one that includes the version you want!, February 23, 2001

A club smash and an extremely popular trance tune this is Delerium featuring Sarah Mclachlan's "Silence". The one you hear on dance radio and at clubs is actually the "Airscape Remix" as the original version is NOT a trance tune and you may be dissapointed by the album if you are looking for trance/dance. A few of the remixes do drag on a bit but it is totally worth the money for this particular remix. A must have item if you're into trance.

5.0 out of 5 stars The choon of 2000. No question., May 12, 2001

The remix you want is on here. And it isn't the airscape one. It's the dj tiesto in search of sunrise mix. That is an absolute beast!!! The airscape one is good, but tiesto just takes it to another level... this is such a massive tune to drop, i have great memories of dropping this tune and watching the place go mental, and every time i hear it the memories just flood back. Top notch.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Essential Dance CD, June 9, 2002
This review is from: Silence: DJ Tiesto (Audio CD)
This is a definite staple for dance music fans. It rates right up there with the outstanding 80's greats. All versions of "Silence" on this single are excellent in their own unique way (e.g. "album version" with it's chants & slow tempo), but the Airscape mix is my absolute favorite. (It's the popular version played on dance radio stations). You're guaranteed to love this cd and wear it out!

5.0 out of 5 stars mp3 at 320kbs can't even cover the pitch of this girls voice, it's worth buying cd quality for the greatest song ever!, January 19, 2009
By
This review is from: Silence: DJ Tiesto (Audio CD)
It may not be the "greatest song in existence" for some people, but if I have anything to say about this track it would be that it most definitely is! Mp3 quality does absolutely no justice for this what so ever...
I listened to the Tiesto remix and during the middle part of the song at 6min 35secs during the peak of Sarah's voice, the mp3 format at 320kbs cant even handle it, there is serious crackling sound
If you listen closely... but like I said, only cd quality can do the least to cover this girl's pitch. No one else has a message to give like this and no one can sing like Sarah Mclachlan! Sit back, keep your body relaxed, close your eyes, and let her take you to a preview of heaven...

5.0 out of 5 stars ESSENTIAL PROGRESSIVE TRANCE....TIMELESS..., February 8, 2005
This review is from: Silence: DJ Tiesto (Audio CD)
FROM TIESTO TO OAKENFOLD TO GATECRASHER TO SPUNDAE...THIS TRACK HAS CONQUERED DANCEFLOORS EVERYWHERE...THE TIESTO MIX IS TIMELESS IN ITSELF, BUT ALSO THE AIRSCAPE (SEVENSON & GIELEN) AND THE FADE SANCTUARY MIX ARE BOTH DANCEFLOOR DESTROYERS...I LOOKED FOR THE SANCTUARY MIX FOR 3 YEARS BEFORE I FOUND IT! THE VINYL GOES FOR OVER $60 ON THE NET, AND ATLEAST 10 DOLLARS FOR THE CD SINGLE...

Mesmo comentario que dei para o outro CD da Delerium, posso dizer que esse single, para quem gosta, é bom, gostei mesmo.
