French rock band's debut stateside release. Their impeccable English suggest their origins could just as easily be Williamsburg, Portland, or London while their stripped down, in your face guitar-meets-Farfisa and wall of vocal chorus jams speak a language beyond borders. Sharp songs, heavy on melody and big on guitar riffs. So big, that the folks behind Guitar Hero are including the Hushpuppies track "You're Gonna Say Yeah" on the upcoming "Guitrar Hero World Tour".

This band takes the whole post-punk (Interpol, Joy Divison, New Model Army, The Horrors)thing and kinda makes it perky and allmost slightly like the post-punk version of The Monkees. little bit of noise and a little bit of bluesy rock..mostly just Monkees sounding post-punk music. If that makes any sense....exactly. It's not for everybody...but it isn't bad....just ok I suppose.
