First of all be careful the head band of the mask is not attached the the nose so the head band my slip down covering the eyes! if your skiing and that happens you will be in great danger! look i always talk about safety because i don't want anybody to get hurt, about the material see the photo of the mask it looks like it's shining but it's really not, the light color at the cheek and the metal bars at the mouth are just a drawing,the mask is made out of polyester i thought it was made out of plastic like the movie silence of lambs.

This mask is cool looking and works really well for motorcycle riding, but you might still need something for your neck. I got it for my husband who rides to work really early in the morning and it doesn't obstruct his view at all. Fits well under a helmet and is flexibile enough to conform to your face. Cool product!
