Don't know who Johnette Napolitano is, sorry. So since she is not an issue here, I'm here to say that this is a great horror movie soundtrack for a great scary ghost/horror movie. This is one of my favorite movies because it has elements of old and new in it. It's not strictly horror, defined by what horror means in this day and age, it's more a good old fashioned ghost story - with ventriloquist dummies - one of the worst harbringer of nightmares that any small child of any generation could ask for. The score for this movie is atmospheric, spooky, and satisfyingly scary for when you are in that haunted house sort of mood. So enjoy the music, dream of Mary Shaw who had no children, only dolls, and if you should see her in your dreams, be sure you never......ever.......scream.

The simplicity of the keyboards at times contrasts greatly with the driving percussion. A contrast befitting such a creepy film. I do wish the producer would have seen fit to include the end title track. I do not hear enough of Johnette Napolitano.

Dead Silence, the score from Charlie Clouser who is the man behind the music of all three SAW films, is a fitting soundtrack to the James Wan film. It's dark, creepy, atmospheric, and haunting. At times agressive, it also delivers more quiet and subdued musical moments. You get 30 tracks plus one cool rock song by Aiden. The running time isn't very long for such a large number of tracks, clocking in at 48 minutes, but every second is worth listening to nonetheless.

Highly recommended if you're a fan of industrial soundtracks, horror scores, or if like me, are a writer who loves having dark and inspiring instrumental music playing in the background while you write.
