At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I can say that I loved this book but, because I read it over 20 years ago, I can barely remember the plot. It takes place in England, and is a love story that involves a cello student. All I do remember is that it was an extraordinarily well written novel, one that stayed with me for years. My own copy has vanished, my having pressed it on so many friends. Something just reminded me of it, and I came onto Amazon to see if it was still in print. I wonder whether Anne Redmon wrote anything else.
