It would seem that this is the very place that darkness would love to keep us cornered.

He is very clear as to how Satan uses deception and lies to try manipulate us toward defeat, and teaches us how to turn the tables on him.

With some people, spiritual warfare has become nothing more than a "bloodbath" against the devil. Think about it. We are fighting against an enemy who has already been defeated. Does this mean that we get to bypass spiritual warfare altogether? Far from it. Instead, we must learn how to engage darkness Biblically--otherwise, we run the risk of falling prey to the serpent's age-old deceptions.

Your Enemy's Time-Tested Strategy
The apostle Paul gives us instruction so that we would not be ignorant of his (satan's) designs (2 Cor. 2:11, ESV). The NIV uses the phrase schemes in regard to the enemy's strategy against you and I.

One of the devil's ultimate schemes is to keep you ignorant of who you are and what you possess in Christ. In Kyle Winkler's outstanding new book, Silence Satan, you will receive a Bible-based battle plan that equips you to come against one of Satan's most prevalent tactics against Christians today: Ignorance of identity.

Your enemy loves to keep you in this place of perpetual struggle, for you are engaging in a war that, in and of your own human strength, you are ill-equipped to win. Truth be told, when it comes down to a person of flesh and blood being pitted against a malevolent spiritual being--the devil/his demons--we will lose every time. It's simply not a fair fight, as the spiritual will always triumph over the natural.

An Unfair Fight... Fixed at Calvary
But let me tell you about an equally (and far more glorious) unfair fight--one that grants you and I the supernatural advantage. True, as mortal human beings, we stand powerless to prevail against "the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Eph. 6:12).

Silence Satan is one of the best books written on Spiritual Warfare. Kyle takes you to the place where Satan met his defeat and you can learn to taken him their too! He writes just as if he were talking directly to you. He is very clear as to how Satan uses deception and lies to try manipulate us toward defeat, and teaches us how to turn the tables on him. It is a must read for anyone in order to learn the tricks of Satan to deceive us and to determine whose voice you are listening to and the many ways we have to silence him.

From time to time, I love to review the books that I read that I want to share with you. It is rare that I get to know the author in a one-on-one friendship, but this is one time that I can say that.

Kyle Winkler is a dynamic speaker who is dedicated to share the love of Christ to a world who is in need of His love more and more everyday. He recently released the book Silence Satan. Kyle talks about the different strategies to silence the attacks of the enemy. Speaking about his own life's experience, he recalls of a time when he was battling with thoughts of worthlessness and identity crisis. God, through His word, led Kyle to the road of peace in showing him ways to Silence Satan.

In the beginning, Kyle reveals that strategy and the set up of the enemy's tactic to cause you to think that you could never amount to the love and grace of God. He helps bring you to a place of victory, talking about the the blood of the Lamb that takes over the tactics of the enemy.

From this point, Kyle takes his new app into place to living in a place of victory. Kyle takes the practical application of the Word of God to defeat the enemy of his attempts to take the believer out. In the final chapters, Kyle reveals the complete armor of God which is the uniform of the righteous. I found it to be extremely important to talk about the armor of God for the believer because we, as a general term, do not completely understand where we stand before God.

Kyle also pinpoints the voice of truth. So often, as believers, we hear the voice of defeat more than we have heard the voice of truth. Kyle reveals the true voice of God. So often, we see God as this big monstrous creature in the sky who is ready to pound us at our every sin.

The author provides a vivid description of the effect that his past had on him even as an adult. He then proceeds to give a detailed account of how he successfully overcame his past. The freedom that he found in Christ consisted of leaving his past identity at the cross, and putting on the new identity that was made available through the death and resurrection of Christ.

The book addresses anyone whose present experience is negatively affected by past experiences or failures. In one sense, that could include almost anyone, but I think that the book is especially well suited to those who struggle with various addictions or negative perceptions of self-worth.

There were a few things in the book that I wasn't sure about, but overall I felt that the concepts that were presented were very helpful. I see the book as a good resource for anyone who feels the need for greater freedom and effectiveness.
