This song begins with some haunting medieval chanting that soon gives way to a modern, soulful female vocal that shifts back and forth between major and minor keys. Some deep bass notes soon underscore the vocal which gives a very powerful, full sound to the tune. The chanting and minor keys give a bit of an Oriental, moorish feel to the song, but it is a nice contrast as the two moods struggle with each other. Very nicely done.
