rare opportunity,

I am assuming that this book is a reprinting of the same material in whole or in part as an earlier book by the same author, simply titled "The Yellow Book". In any case, there is a confusing array of supposed experts in spirituality out there, but this man has experienced and mastered what he teaches. I met him in the mid-70's at a retreat. This is the real esoteric Hindu teachings, taught by someone who has lived them. Don't look for mind-bending, headache-producing philosophical arguments, or vague sugar-coated platitudes. What Hari Dass says may take only a sentence--but it will be a sentence that will go right to the core of you, and you'll spend the next 20 years unfolding it in your life.

inquiring minds want to know,

This is a fine example of the life's work of a yoga master coming forth in response to the endless questions of his sincere students. Not as charming or personal as his "Letters for Life" in my opinion but valuable to me in the sense of getting together 100 spiritual seekers with a desperate desire to have their spiritual questions answered. The controlled chaos that ensues is balanced by the penetrating insights of the master who patiently answers each and every question and leaves the swooning flock to spend the rest of their days putting into practice the teachings received. It is a wonderful example of the mind chasing the truth. It can be seen here with a new perspective that the truth cannot be grasped by the mind but can be experienced if you practice Babaji's instructions. Another finger pointing at the moon.
