You can't go wrong with Akira Yamaoka!, September 16, 2009
This review is from: Silent Hill Homecoming Soundtrack (Audio CD)
I'm a big fan of the Silent Hill series. I highly respect Akira Yamaoka, and I love his work within the series. This CD is as good as the other soundtracks of Silent Hill, and I highly recommend it to any Silent Hill fan!

Silent Hill Homecoming Soundtrack Review, January 25, 2011
This review is from: Silent Hill Homecoming Soundtrack (Audio CD)
I love the Silent Hill video games, and I especially love the music, and that's why I bought this soundtrack. I personally think that the music on this album is worthy of five stars, but I have left a star off for some reasons. The music contained on this soundtrack is not anywhere near all of the music in the Silent Hill Homecoming video game. There are many scenes in the Silent Hill Homecoming video game that has very good music that is not included on this soundtrack. One of my favorite music themes that Akira Yamaoka did was the one scene where Scarlet rises up out of her father's blood and trys to kill Alex. The church music near the end of the game is also missing, and this is not even the beginning of the list that I can say of the music that's missing. However, when I did some more research I found out that there is also a Silent Hill Homecoming Complete soundtrack that apparently has been done; however, I am under the understanding that this soundtrack is not in print. In other words, they don't make it, which I think makes no sense. The complete soundtrack includes all the themes and fight music on it that's not included in the original soundtrack you see here. So if you think that all of the music from the game will be on this soundtrack, you will be disappointed. Although the soundtrack has these downfalls, the soundtrack also has songs on it not included on the complete soundtrack. All of the songs on the original soundtrack are different from the complete soundtrack except for "One more Soul to the Call," "Alex Theme," and "This Sacred Line." I bought this soundtrack when it was first released, and I only paid twenty-five dollars for it, but I believe the price has risen since then. If you want it that bad, buy it because you will not be disappointed with the music that's on it, but I have warned you about the flaws of this soundtrack.
