Upon first loading this onto my computer (Dell) , almost immediately I came across a "screen blanker". I had to shut down and restart only to have this "option" happen every time I tried to play. I have no idea why this is in the program and I almost used a hammer on it.
I spent a day or so tracking down the "bug" and finally found a download that fixed it (sorry, but I'm writing this many months after so I can't give you exact address for the fix but google "silent hunter 2 screen blanker" and you should be able to find it.
Gameplay itself is pretty fun, some missions way too easy and some way to hard. I never got to the last missions as I had to get a new computer that runs the hated VISTA and this game, like most of my games will NOT play on it. Well, it "screen blanks" but the fix doesn't work on VISTA.
It is a nice game on XP especially if you use the manual torpedo settings, wish I could have finished the missions but broken computers are not worth fixing (usually)
