Editorial Reviews

Review

This blend between science and religion offers a science-based understanding of the meditative process. Lab experiments in the physiology of meditation blend with a range of theological insights to demonstrate how modern spirituality and science can actually work together to further understanding on many levels. -- Midwest Book Review

Splendid background for meditation time: Highlights the threads of connection between Zen and Christian contemplation (paraphrase from the book section on brainwave and feedback) Johnston's perspective has been a welcome companion on my travels through about 30 years since I first bought the book.
