Book Description

Grayson Anders has it all. He’s the co-owner of a happening nightclub in downtown Boston, he’s wealthy, and women practically throw themselves at his feet the moment he steps on the dance floor. But profiting from these obvious benefits is not his desire. His passion is dancing and he wants nothing more than to find the perfect dance partner.

Chloe LaRoche is a talented artist, but a failing entrepreneur. Her once thriving studio is now on the brink of foreclosure and unless she paints the next Van Gogh Starry Night, she’ll have to cut her losses and say goodbye to her quaint little gallery. Fearing her career is at an end, she drags herself to the local hotspot, determined to drown her worries in the bottom of a shot glass. At least that was the plan…until she lays eyes on a wickedly sexy, swarthy dancer in the club—Grayson Anders.

Unable to resist, Chloe finds herself in Grayson’s arms, indulging on a passionate, out-of-control, one night stand. And when both awaken the next morning, they are consumed with inspiration.

Grayson finds his perfect dance partner and Chloe finally finds her muse. But will her secret destroy both their dreams?

About the Author

Renee Vincent holds a passionate interest in Irish and Norse history. She lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky with her husband and two children on a beautiful secluded farm of horses and hay fields. When not writing, she spends her time on the back of a horse, whether with her family or with friends, and thinks there is nothing like the feel of sunlight on your face, the wind in your hair, and the power of the animal beneath you. Seeing the world from a saddle, she says, is by far the best view and the best therapy for a heavy heart or a troubled mind. Renee’s Emerald Isle Trilogy includes: Ræliksen, Book One; Mac Liam, Book Two; and The Fall of Rain, Book Three, coming December, 2011. Silent Partner is Renee’s first contemporary romance novel. 5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book!! May 3, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
What did you expect when you read the title, Silent Partner? Big business, and mega-buck takeovers perhaps? If so, think again. This is Ms. Vincent's debut venture into mainstream romance, and the wait was more than worth it.

Do not mistake the `sweet' rating for tepid writing. Silent Partner is well researched, offering background information woven into her story so skilfully it blew me away.

Blend the research with the author's three-dimensional characters, add conflict and emotion on every page and you have a story that keeps you reading without stopping until you reach the end.

Ms. Vincent's hero, Grayson Anders, knows what he wants and only the best will do when he's looking for a dance partner. Grayson Anderson is charming, lovable and self-centred. His journey under Ms Vincent's guidance is a joy to read.

Chloe LaRoche, Ms Vincent's heroine, has faced many challenges in her life, especially when her dreams of becoming a professional dancer are shattered. So when she faces another, which could destroy her present way of life, what's a girl to do?

Well, for one night Chloe decides to live for the moment; a moment that impacts on Grayson's attitude to life, and Chloe's self-belief.

The author takes her hero and heroine through twisted and tortuous hoops of self-discovery and growth and brings them together in a believable manner. Her writing sparkles, and given this is the author's first attempt at contemporary mainstream romance, she creates the right impact for settings, pace and conflict. Her main characters are fully developed as are the supporting cast. Her balance of the self-absorbed hero meeting emotionally challenged heroine is stunning because of her research into the heroine's background. This book is a keeper.

"Silent Partner", by Renee Vincent, is a moving love story that will have your feet moving to the rhythm of the wonderfully descriptive dancing scenes! Grayson Anders is a seriously single club owner in search of the perfect dance partner. When he spots Chloe LaRoche having a solitary drink at the club's bar, he is immediately captivated. Chloe proves to be his equal on the dance floor, and in passion's dance as well, but she is also a lady of mystery. Grayson determines to have Chloe in his life, and he is shocked when he unravels her secrets. This touching love story just got better and better as two souls were laid bare, and two hearts learned to trust as their faith in each other gained them the ultimate partnership. "Silent Partner" is a highly enjoyable celebration of romance and dance!

4.0 out of 5 stars A must read for the dancer in all of us. August 29, 2011
Format:Paperback

Review copy provided by publisher

The language of dance is wonderful. Whether you find yourself dancing at club, in your own home to at a concert, you move to the rhythm of the music as it touches your soul. Just as you sometimes find that special dance more primal and no spoken words are needed just the urgency to dance just for each other as we find Chloe and Grayson doing many times throughout this story. Renee Vincent takes us on a journey using the story of dance.

Grayson Anders is a completely arrogant, full of confidence and ever so sexy man. As he gyrates on the dance floor, every woman in the club would do anything for a one night stand. When he spots Chloe sitting alone at the bar, he sees a sensual woman. He finds his match in her on the dance floor.

Chloe finds herself in a conflict over what to do next, analyzes things way too much. Worried about what others may think of her if they find out her secret. She spots Grayson on the dance floor and is hypnotized by the way his body sings to the music. Stepping out of the comfort of safe life she decides to take a chance. One night in heaven with this incredible dancer may be just what she needs. When they dance he ignites feelings and takes her out of her safe haven.

From the moment they touch the physical attraction is immediate. That fated one night stand changes their lives. Although they are passionately drawn to each other they have to overcome the discoveries that are unexpectedly thrown at them.

Renee Vincent captures our mind as well as our hearts as we find ourselves entwined in the dance between Chloe and Grayson. There are underlying depths to the story that makes you stop and think about your own lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Delight May 5, 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Renee Vincent is best known for her tenth-century Northmen in Ireland series, however, she's come out with a novella-length spicy contemporary in Silent Partner, published by Turquoise Morning Press.

Set in Downtown Boston, Silent Partner tells the story of impressionistic artist and gallery owner Chloe LaRoche and nightclub owner and Latin dancer Grayson Anders. Chloe's gallery has suffered with the downturn in the economy. Bills are past due and she's desperate and depressed. A few tequilas won't help her financially, but at least it might get her mind off her woes. Red blood flows in her veins, and when Grayson moves onto the dance floor, all eyes, including Chloe's, are on the hunky, sensuous dancer.

Grayson has been searching for the perfect dance partner for his new studio, but until n ow he's been unsuccessful. He spots Chloe, sensibly dressed and as out of place in the happening nightclub as the scantily clad female wannabees would be in church. He pulls Chloe into a dance and finds her rhythm and sense of style astounding. Not only is she a perfect partner, he wants to learn much more about the gorgeous, sexy brunette. The on stage flirtation leads to hot kisses, which leads to something more.

Chloe doesn't indulge in casual sex, but Grayson has something she needs. After a night of exquisite passion, she slips out of his apartment and returns to her gallery, inspired with a new burst of creative juices.

Grayson awakens bereft. Not only has he lost his perfect dance partner and lover, he doesn't even know her name. But a little thing like that won't stop him. He knows she's exactly what he needs, and he's up to the challenge.

I loved this story. Ms.
