Peter Wimsey dud,

Dorothy Sayers is one of my favorite authors, so I rented this movie to see what it was like. The quality is not good, the actor chosen to portray Peter Wimsey does not exhibit the sophistication and comes across as a dope. One can see why Ms. Sayers did not want anything to do with filming of her other stories as it strays away from her creative ideas.
Do yourself a favor and do not spend money on this film.

I thought the plot interesting and I liked the scene where the engine went through the door. The effect was well done. The portrayal of Lord Peter was strange. He was presented as an idiot rather than the sophisticated detective in most of his cases. This puzzles me.
