5.0 out of 5 stars Chock Full of Insights
Although "Silent Power" is a really small book, it's literally jam packed with information, insights, & ideas regarding how to create & maintain your own silent power - as well as the impact of having (and not having) this type of power in your life.

3.0 out of 5 stars A convincing explanation for the etheric
Even when we're asleep, the etheric body continues to glow and grow around us, releasing its tentacles into various regions of our psychic space without our even being aware of it. Stuart Wilde masterfully documents how we can take charge not only of our own lives, but of our etheric bodies; he even hints that we might be able to take charge of the etheric bodies of...

Although "Silent Power" is a really small book, it's literally jam packed with information, insights, & ideas regarding how to create & maintain your own silent power - as well as the impact of having (and not having) this type of power in your life.

Some of the major discussions in this book include: the etheric body & how people react to us based on what we project through this energy body; psychological leaning - creating a "fake" you through the constant need of approval & ideas on how to stop "leaning"; silent communication - how to find out what's really going on with other's through inward communication; the practice of Wu Wei - accepting things as they are & not forcing life; the differences between emotions, opinions/preferences, and feelings - we can use feelings to help us determine what to do next, but opinions/preferences & emotions will likely lead us down the "wrong" path; the tell-tale physcial signs of how someone really feels (i.e. posture, eye movement, gait, etc...); how to get in touch with your "nature-self" (the energy that's a part of all things); and psychic protection - how to protect yourself from "energy vampires" - those who need to take from your energy in order to receive a boost for themselves.

Overall, I found "Silent Power" to be an insightful read, and as such I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in spirituality - it has much to offer.

5.0 out of 5 stars When we master our SELF and control the ego we have POWER, October 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Silent Power (Audio Cassette)
I found Stuart's work to really help me learn to look at my ego. Why does it shout so much and why does it want to always lean on others? In this great small book we begin to understand the nature of the ego and learn to calm ourselves down and listen to the inner self. I am a big fan of this powerful writer. He makes his points in such clear and concise language. He really gets to the heart of the reader. I would recommend this book to anyone wishing to rise above "tick tock" and awaken that great inner power in us all... THE SILENT POWER! Peace, Love, Joy, and Blessings to all -RJ

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeping your power..., February 22, 2004

This is an excellent book. Wilde discusses the tendency of people to get energy from sources other than themselves, causing them to "lean" psychologically. He gives advice for learning not to "lean" on others and protecting yourself against energy drainers. Ever been around a person and then, after only a few minutes of conversation, felt exhausted? Wilde's wit is wonderful. He is concise, making his books nice reads. Oftentimes, writers in this type of subject area have a tendency to confuse with grandiose yet vague ideas. Not so with Stuart Wilde!
I would also recommend Sixth Sense by the same author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Silent Power, April 9, 2001

An excellent book on tape. Well read and gets straight to the point without alot of excessive words! Easy to understand and makes alot of sense even though being silent for alot of us is a challenge. This book on tape adds to my journey in understanding Quantum Theory. You learn how to observe more in life which helps your understanding of others and in turn yourself. For those who don't have much time and don't have time to read, the tape is the easiest quickest way to get started to learning a skill that will help you learn, understand and improve relationships with yourself and others. An excellent book - I have ordered Stuart's 6 tape collection "Developing Your Sixth Sense" to learn other skills in situations that crop up in daily living....

Go to your video store and rent "Mind Walk" (a scientist, a politian and a poet get together and discuss Quantum Mechanics). This helped in understanding that we are all linked as one in this great big world ! Understanding brings clarity to humanity and Stuart Wilde teaches us how to take a step towards that understanding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Good., September 7, 2005
This review is from: Silent Power (Paperback)
This book is "Simply good ". It's worth reading and it's worth using.
If you want a serious look at your ego, and how it works, go and read and use this book.
Most of us make a lot of "noise" travelling trough life, and you might get to the point where you see why.
This book is - for me - one of the ways to learn how to remember who I am, and to stay in my " Silent Power"

5.0 out of 5 stars METAPHYSICS 101!!!!, August 30, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Silent Power (Paperback)
This is the third Stuart Wilde book that I've read and I am a believer. This book is like "Metaphysics for Dummies". A lot of the material is relevant and is presented in a terse manner that you can benefit from immediately. "Silent Power" is definitely a winner. Thank you Mr. Wilde for sharing this important work in a manner that a layman will not be overwhelmed and can "get it">

4.0 out of 5 stars A Small Book With Some Good Points, July 17, 2006
This review is from: Silent Power (Paperback)
Mr. Wilde has a very unique style of writing and this book was quite interesting for me. It points out many things that people do on a regular basis that can dramatically limit a person's personal presence in a social situation. This small spiritual book is very deep and can be read many times over and still not be completely understood. It offers many helpful ways to increase your Silent Power though simple exercises and increased spiritual awareness.

This review is from: Silent Power [With CD] (Hardcover)
If you find people shying away from you once you meet them or tending to always pull away from you, you must read this book. Even though I'm not either of the latter, This book has helped me to understand ways to have equilibrium and power in conversation and encounters. This book will change how you interact with people and help gain respect if you are meek.

I enjoy Stuart's sense of humor and direct way of speaking. Realistically, it takes time, focus and discipline to change personal behavior patterns. I would have liked to hear more on this topic. As with ALL self-help topics, I feel it's best to focus on what parts resonate with you and discard the rest.
