Chad Davis (Green Bay, WI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Silent Protest (Audio CD)
First off, this album is truly amazing. Not your typical nu metal cookie cutter stuff that dominates the airwaves these days. I say that in a 100% good way.

The way this album starts is amazing. It starts off with a industrial sounding intro track that immediately throws you into their title track and first single "A Silent Protest". When I first heard this song it became one of those songs you throw on repeat. You know, the song that you just can't get enough of and don't even notice it's playing over and over. It then throws you into the third track "My Time". This track starts off with a very eary beautiful instrumental that just gives you goosebumps. It's almost as if it's the calm before the storm.

This album has it all. It mixes beautiful vocals with some amazing emotionally filled aggression screams. The vocals at times have that "electric" feel to them, such as the chorus to "Away". The guitars also have a bit of everything such as those awesome harmonics that you would hear so frequently on the Nonpoint "Statement" album.

I suggest this album to anyone who is sick of the same old numetal that is out there and want something original with emotion and meaning to it.

A must have in your collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Impressive, January 1, 2006
This review is from: Silent Protest (Audio CD)
With a couple more albums under their belt, these guys will be amazing. This is a good start though. It is very aggressive and raw and they do the raw thing well. It gets a little boring in spots but always revives itself which is good. All in All, this band is not your average band and like their labelmates ALLELE, they will make something of themselves one day, mark my pathetic words. Peace!

5.0 out of 5 stars Silent Protest, February 17, 2006

I saw the video for Silent Protest and had to check this out...very heavy and yet somehow manages to be melodic and pulse pounding at the same time.

everything about this cd kicks ass, its got screaming, singing, bad ass drum beats, melodic guitars, even some nice piano work. I give it a 5 hands down. These guys will be huge.

5.0 out of 5 stars this will kick your arse, March 12, 2006

I completely forget how I found out about Trigger Point, I think it was because they were in good with another band I'm fond of and I forget their name too. But I digress, this album WILL give your eardrums a serious workout. If you want an idea of what they sound like I will tell you that they sound a little bit like Switched but heavier. They keep the melody intact but they manage those heavy riffs really well and the singer can scream like it's nobody's business. The drummer abuses the double bass like it just insulted his mother, this is one heavy album. If you feel like giving them a listen before making a purchase download (fack the RIAA) "Cycle" "Pain Is A Lesson" and "The Last Laugh." Peace out.

5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY AMAZING, September 15, 2005
This review is from: Silent Protest (Audio CD)
This album is simply the most amazing new album out this year. Its a fresh change from all the pop punk, emo, retro, hipster clone stuff that's taken over the airwaves these days. Do yourself a favor and buy this album now. If you'd like to hear it first you can preview the album online too, just goto their website [...] for the link.

Definatly very unique with their own sound yet you can easily get into it. Easily one of the best bands out there today with their heavy sound, intense vocals, and their hard hitting drums. Definatly check em out

5.0 out of 5 stars Top 5 album of all time!!!!, January 25, 2009
This review is from: Silent Protest (Audio CD)
This album is simply amazing. Every aspect of it is tremendous. Trigger Point is definitely under rated. The whole cd is in your face with Taylor's ridiculous range in vocals, Mike's nasty riffs, and Feet playing the drums like I've never heard! Seriously get this album, there is absolutely no way you will be dissappointed! "A Silent Protest" (track 2) is one of the best songs ever made!
