this is for some one that already has an art back ground and is good at faces. I was disappointed with how vague the directions were. if you are just starting out try the "Rediscovering the are of silhouettes". Nice looking and may be a good gift for an artist friend.

This is an adorable book and a great jumping-off point how-to for the beginning silhouetteur/-euse. It's layout is pretty and includes some pre-made silhouettes and patterned sheets of paper that you can use to back your cut-outs and frame them. Super cute and inspiring.
