From the Author
Each verse tells a story and with descreciptive writing so you can imagine being there. My great hope for "Silhouette of a Soul" is that the readers will be able to laugh and smile while browsing through it and it will lift thier spirits to a higher place. We're all on a journey and I just want to make it more pleasant one for everyone.
I am a writer and mystic who paints with oil, watercolor and acrylic. I read psychic tarot, pratice Reiki and work with crystals in matters of natural healing. I am open and receptive to all ideas that are intended for the greater good of all. That is why I decided to share my visions with you.
I'm a farmer at heart and this book is part of my crop that I've been tending forever...and it's now available for consumption.........Always,

There is invariably a phrase that lingers on the tongue, as when Merrell describes the rainbow around the morning moon as "gently pleasing" and the flight of angels as "the only fragrant flowers in a very dry arrangement." It is in "Lady and Tea," however, when we are introduced to the poet as one who plays "the role of the majickian," that we are able to comprehend more fully the mystic underpinnings of Merrell's verse. With this in mind, the themes of understanding of self in order to act according to one's true will, and the ability to cause change in conformity to that true will, add deeper resonance to this homage to Nature.
Another insight into the poetry can be found in Merrell's art as seen on various web sites. A unique mixture of the primitive and surreal, with a bold, bright palette, and encrusted with imagery borrowed from the artist's familiarity with Reiki, crystals, and psychic tarot, the paintings are alive with both the flight of angels and the fragrance of flowers, and will certainly "lift your spirits and make you smile."
Bookreview.com found this book both intriguing and delightful and recommends it as very good in deed.

This book is horrible. Hobos say much more intelligent things. The text is rife with misspellings and the poetry is amateur at best. Read morePublished on October 29, 2012 by Brock
