Not Discredited
Actually, it is those "epidemiological studies" that were deeply flawed. Those studies, unbelievably, only included women who have had their implants for three years. Yup, you read that right. Most women do not start having serious health problems for 7-10 years after implantation. There are in fact many well-designed studies that clearly demonstrate terrible health...

Discredited
This book came out before the epidemiological studies that showed that it is very very unlikely that silicone breast implants increase the risk of connective tissue disorders of the breast. It did come out around the time of the law suites, however.

Actually, it is those "epidemiological studies" that were deeply flawed. Those studies, unbelievably, only included women who have had their implants for three years. Yup, you read that right. Most women do not start having serious health problems for 7-10 years after implantation. There are in fact many well-designed studies that clearly demonstrate terrible health problems directly associated with breast implants. Anyone thinking of getting them should do their own research, starting with this book.
