Choose the OtterBox Skin Instead,

I ordered two silicone skins after I bought my Droid X. The Luxmo skin & the OtterBox Impact Series Silicone Case. There's no comparison, the OtterBox is a much nicer case. The Luxmo case is very slick & it feels like it will slip out of your hand & get dropped easily. The OtterBox has a nice grip to the sides. I also like that the OtterBox in combination with the screen protector covers/protects 100% of the phone. With the Luxmo case the top & the bottom on the front of the phone are exposed. The OtterBox just seems & feels like a much nicer, more solid, durable case.
Hope this review helps.

Nice n Comfy Skin,

This skin fits my phone perfectly, and just has that quality feel about it. You definitely feel like you have a nice comfy grip on the DX. The skin is much thicker than the one I had on my Curve and makes holding such a thin device more ergo and natural.

Very satisfied with this ~$3 phone case.
It doesn't slide in and out of your pocket like plastic would. It's about right. But also it doesn't slide around on flat surfaces like plastic would. I can place it on my dash when I drive and it won't go anywhere. One bad thing about it is that it really muffles the vibrate. Droid x's vibrate is weak as it is. Can't hear the vibrate if it is sitting on the table next to you. Often can't feel texts in your pocket with this case, where I have felt them when it is bare. The camera, power, and volume buttons are all underneath the cover. There are raised rectangles so you know where to press. It makes using the camera a little harder because the button is so sensitive as it is. I've taken the case off and on many times in the past few weeks and the case doesn't feel stretched out at all yet.

Got the Wrong Case,

The case that arrived is find except that it is not the same one as shone is the picture. The case that I got is very plain and does not cover the physical buttons or have the "weave" as written in the product information. The only reason I didn't give it a lower review is because it has a very good price in comparison to Verizon's $20 case. This is the first time I have had amazon send the wrong product...thankfully it was inexpensive.

Fits phone, feels good in my hand and the weave on the back gives it better grip.

why cover the buttons?,

for some reason they decided to keep the volume and camera buttons covered by the rubber instead of making cut-outs for them like for the ports etc. as a result, the camera button keeps getting pressed while I'm doing other things. or sometimes one of these buttons is in some suspended half-pressed state and as a result the normal menu and home buttons won't work until I adjust the case. the feel and fit of the case is fine otherwise, but had I know about this problem I would not have bought it.

This is a cheap product for a cheap price. Falls off my fiance's phone. Doesn't fit good. Would not recommend this product, pay a little extra for something better :)

Works great. Only have to be sure you are very, very careful while applying the scratch protector, because anything and everything lint-y will get underneath and cause little bubbles between the screen and the plastic. And you can't remove them... you have to just use a new scratch protector.

I start off by saying I don't like silicone cases. I knew I probably wouldn't like it, but I paid all of about $2.50 for it including shipping so it was worth it to try. I was really just looking for a one-piece back case. I bought 3 different cases for under $15 including shipping from various sellers and this was one of them. The Superior hard rubber snap on back case with holster is my favorite of the 3 that I bought.
It fits okay, but you can feel it slipping around a bit as it's not a super tight fit. It's hard to get in and out of a pocket, but it does sit nicely on a car dash without sliding around. It collects fur and lint and things that stick to it. It's a silicone case. Not a fan, but a great price and worth wasting the money just to see if I liked it. |
