Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This fabulous set makes a great gift for a cook just realizing the benefits of silicone. A flexible, heat-resistant, colorfully-tinted material, silicone makes the perfect spatula head-it bends smoothly to scoop batter out of bowls, it can scramble eggs in a nonstick frying pan, and it can baste hot roasts. Best of all, silicone utensils go right into the dishwasher for easy cleanup.

This set from Pinzon includes seven utensils: a large spatula, two medium spatulas, two small scrapers, a large spoon-shaped spatula, and a basting brush. The heads are silicone, while the long, smooth handles are hollow stainless steel with hanging holes on the ends. If not hung, the utensils look attractive stored in the brushed stainless-steel, double-walled canister included with the set. The silicone heads on these items are heat resistant to between 428 and 480 degrees F. --Ann Bieri

Amazon.com Product Description

Pinzon's brightly colored spatula set serves every cooking need and adds a splash of color to any kitchen. Durable, flexible, and stain-resistant, the spatulas endure high temperatures--between 428 and 480 degrees F--without melting or discoloring. The spatulas include one large (4.3 inches by 2.6 inches), two medium (3.2 by 2 inches), one spoon-head (3-1/2 by 2-1/2 inches), and two scrapers (2.7 by 1.6 inches). A silicone brush (2.2 by 1.7 inches) also is included for basting meats or prepping pastries. Long, smooth, 8.9-inch handles are constructed of hollow stainless steel with hanging holes. The double-walled, brushed stainless-steel crock provides plenty of room for the tools. All of the spatulas are easy to clean-just run them through the dishwasher. This set is imported.

I bought this set about 9 months ago and they still look new. I love them. The spatulas are great for baking or for getting everything out of can (like tomato paste) or just for stirring food in my teflon pans. They go through the dishwasher fine-they aren't getting brittle like others I've had. They're very flexible and soft. I love the brush too and use it for basting or barbequing. I just bought 3 more sets to give as gifts because I like mine so much.

I absolutely love these. You can use these for cooking scrambled eggs in your nonstick pans with no worry of melting or harming the nonstick surface.

They are so durable, they still look new after many trips to the dishwasher. The red color keeps staining from showing when I use them for spaghetti sauce.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too soft for my use, July 7, 2009
This review is from: Pinzon 8-Piece Silicone Spatula Set with Stainless Steel Canister Holder [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]
I put this on my wish list and got it as a birthday gift. I just loved the way it looked and it had such great reviews. Unfortunately, I personally don't like them very much after trying them out for 6 months. I find that the silicone pads are too soft and wobbly so I don't have much control.

I do like the spoonula as that is a bit sturdier. I have 2 oxo spatulas and I find that I reach for them instead whenever I need a silicon spatula. I like the varying sizes but who needs so many of them!

I'm glad they work well for others but I'm not a fan.
