Product Description
This is a high quality, protective Silicone case for the Toshiba Thrive 10in Tablet. This heavy duty design provides more drop protection and shock absorption than typical tablet skins. The colorful and stylish case is specifically designed to accommodate all the Thrive's ports, switches, and LEDs. This Silicone case is a nice alternative to using your travel case while at home, since it provides greater drop protection while you don't have to continually keep opening and closing your travel case cover.
All Bobj Cases are made from a high quality Silicone formula which meets U.S. FDA Food Grade Requirements. This silicone contains no harmful chemicals when in contact with food, and is "closed cell" design, unlike typical "spongy" skins. This closed cell food grade silicone also makes the Bobj Case easy to clean. For easy maintenance, wash with mild dish soap and water and dry with a lint free cloth.
The ease of cleaning, plus the rugged, thick design and snug fit makes these cases both kid-friendly, and usable in harsh environments. Bobj Protective Cases are currently used in US school systems, aboard US Naval Vessels, in desert climates by US Military, and used by professional tradesmen and US service companies.
The Toshiba Dock will not accept the Thrive when using this case. The Thrive Tablet is not included with the case.

I got my case today and love it. It doesn't add much weight but has enough silicone for me to really feel like my Thrive is protected. My thrive is still comfortable to hold and it actually makes it easier to hold with one hand.

I had a portfolio type case on my Toshiba Thrive, but wanted something that would offer more protection in case it got dropped. I heard about these new silicone cases on Thrive Forms dot org. A member/moderator there, bobj, went in search of the perfect protective case for the Thrive. When he wasn't happy with what was out there he designed this silicone case himself and had it manufactured.
This is not one of those whimpy, paper thin silicone covers you may have seen. This case is substantial. The edges and corners are rounded and sit a good bit higher than the level of the glass screen. This gives me peace of mind that even if my tablet should fall face down, the screen would be shielded from impact.
The silicone in this case is naturally slip resistant, but for extra insurance while sitting on a counter top or desk, there are 4 silicone nubs, or "feet" on the bottom that really hug the surface to prevent the tablet from being accidently knocked off. Another plus to these nubs/feet is that if the tablet was ever dropped and landed on its back, the nubs would shield the back of the tablet from direct impact.
Another great feature: The edges of the case taper down to lay flat against the screen, and cover the area where the bezel meets glass. This keeps dirt and dust from collecting in the little space there...a BIG plus!

I recently purchased a Toshiba Thrive, and wanted to find a good case for the tablet. I bought a portfolio case with a usb keyboard, but it hasn't been a comfortable case for me to use. So when I heard about the silicone cases, I was intrigued. It arrived yesterday in the mail and I installed it before I had an appointment outside my home. It was not hard to slip around the Thrive, but is doesn't feel like it will be slipping off the tablet by accident. This case is substantial enough that I'm not concerned about traveling with my tablet. It protects the edges of the glass on the tablet, so the groove where the touchscreen meets the tablet back will not accumulate dust and other particles. It feels comfortable in my hands when when I pick the tablet up. I'm really pleased with this case for my tablet!
