5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing better for the most luxurious sleep!!!
I have had other charmeuse silk pillowcases, and these are the best by far. The 21 momme must be the difference...the highest I have seen other places is 19 momme, and those 2 little numbers sure make a difference! Thick, beautiful, satin-y silk...not only did I fall alseep like a queen, but awoke with no bed-head hair! This is the first time I have reviewed an item,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but not great
These are beautiful and well made. I machine washed them (Woolite) on gentle and dried on low when they arrived. They didn't lose their shape and the seams didn't pull apart or fray. The pearl white is very pretty: not glaring bright white & not yellow. The fabric is a nice mdium weight but I would have preferred it to be a little thicker.

Unfortunately,...

Thick, beautiful, satin-y silk...not only did I fall alseep like a queen, but awoke with no bed-head hair! This is the first time I have reviewed an item, because I just had to share how great I think these pillowcases are. I will be purchasing more, separating them into single cases, wrapping in some sort of special little sack, and giving them to all my friends for next Christmas. These cases are a luxury that I won't be giving up anytime soon!

Unfortunately, these aren't the pillowcases of my dreams. I was hoping for a very smooth, slick, "silky" pillowcase. These are soft and smooth but not like I wanted. I have curly hair & can't see a difference in the morning fuzzies between these and my usual good cotton pillowcases. I don't think they're worth $60 for a pair.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sleep like a Princess at a Small Price, May 13, 2010

Soft, soft, soft. Nice piping on the trim. Seems thick, enough, the silk. I'll trust the cases will last? Two cases in a pack, so I'm only using one now. I'll rotate between the two.

Can't say for certain if the silk is curtailing the dreaded hatchet marks on the face. It might. But I also sleep in weird postions so my cheek won't squish into the pillow. The silk feels comforting. It's like a kiss of luxury before shut eye, if anything.

I think silk has a type of count, like a thread count, and I don't think these cases are the higher end, or even near high. Next time, when these cases fall apart from wear, I'll hunt for a higher count. Something softer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good deal, February 21, 2007

The added comfort of silk pillowcases is something you owe yourself, since you'll be sleeping a lot in the rest of your life, and most of the time on pillows. My hair doesn't tangle up as much anymore, the smell and feel of the silk is great. A+

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, April 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
So after looking at all the good reviews I decided to spend $60 on 2 silk pillowcases.. At first I thought they were great but the material is really thin and its not what I expected at all..After washing them for the first time it also lost softness. I don't think they are worth the price, maybe $30 but definetely not $60.

4.0 out of 5 stars silky but sturdy, July 16, 2010

I like these. I wash them in my machine's heavy duty/hot water cycle (I know I'm not supposed to, but I like my bed linens to be super sanitized!) and dry them on high -- and they are still in great condition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Purely Luxurious, June 19, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
You would expect to find pillow cases this luxurious in a 5-star hotel. They are so smooth, so soft & silky. I find my hair doesn't get as mussed as it does sleeping on superior grade cotton, bamboo, cotton/silk blends, or cotton/poly blends. This is such a fantastic product, with a lovely soft sage-y green color that can blend into the background, or accent your bedding colors. You won't regret paying the little bit extra for the incredibly great value of these pillow cases.

5.0 out of 5 stars NICE ... LUXURIOUS, December 28, 2010

I got these pillowcases for one reason only - to stop waking up with pillow creases on my face. The older I get , the longer it takes for the creases to go away. They are nice, heavyweight silk. They launder & dry easily on low with no ironing needed. I hate ironing. My hair looks nice this morning too. :) No weird smell like some silk products ( I have allergies & am sensitive to that.) I would definitely recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I wanted!, May 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had recently heard that sleeping on silk pillowcase covers could possibly help with facial wrinkles, as well as "bed head" in the morning.
That's why I ordered them. I was hesitant about spending so much money, but after reading other reviews about cheaper cases and these, I'm glad I spent the extra money. The cases feel luxurious, and I don't know if anything will help these increasing wrinkles (I'm 47) but they were just what I wanted.
I wasn't looking forward to hand washing them, so I put them in my machine on gentle with woolite and try to take them out just as the washer begins to spin. So far, no problem. I hang them up to dry and it only takes a few hours.
