1.0 out of 5 stars dull and uninformative, May 17, 2011
This review is from: Silk Road- Songs Along The Road and Time [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I completely agree with the Toronto reviewer. You will learn nothing about the Silk Road or the Vienna Boys' Choir or about the music of which we only hear slivers. It's like an extended music video with some nice pictures and some cute faces, but that's it. I think it was a mistake to break the fourth wall and show us the film studio and the green screen too-- too much attention suddenly gets focused on the director. Why? Furthermore, it's unclear what Beethoven, Schubert and Carl Orff have to do with the Silk Road either but they also make appearances here. So do soccer balls and Sachertorte mit Schlag. I was disappointed.
