The hero is smooth as Silk, February 5, 2007
This review is from: Silke (Paperback)
This is one of four Precious Gem romances by Lacey Dancer, and it's a story short enough to read in a waiting room, beauty shop or a lunch break. Surprisingly, it's still a well-done story with interesting characters.
Silke is one of four girls adopted by the St. Johns, who decide their daughters need to prove they can make it on their own and push them out of the nest. Silke has been a party girl, meeting all kinds of unsavory people, prior to her "liberation." The untold story shall remain untold here, so you can discover her motivations on your own.
Silke's love interest owns a security firm, which her parents employ to watch after her, and he falls in love with our girl. There is of course an attempt on her life but she survives and they are planning a wedding by the end of the story.
At their wedding, Silke's adopted sister Caprice meets Silke's husband's best man and sparks fly. So the groundwork is laid for Caprice's story. Good luck finding it, since I couldn't find it by typing in "Caprice by Lacey Dancer." But Amazon pretty well buried Silke's story by labeling it "Lacey Dancer by Lacey Dancer." Maybe they have a practical joker in their employ, but here's hoping Amazon fires that person so readers can actually find what they're looking for. Silke is a good story; read it.
