Memorable, forever loved,

I read this book in the 80's and have always loved it, think of it many times. Through the years, I would look to see what else she had done, but just now I discovered she died in 2003 of leukemia. Silks is one of my favorite poetry books and I've read many throughout my life of nearly 60 years. Lines from the book float into my brain often and I'll always remember and be affected by it. I still return to it. As I weeded out my books to fit into my tiny apartment, her's remains.

This piece of work is one to be remembered along with it's author. It will touch you should you allow yourself to react. My favorite is geraniums because i can relate with the little girl. I love you on your birthday and always.
