The Silktime album puts you in a good mood. If you want something to lay back and listen to with someone else, then this album is what you should have on. Although there is now only 4 members in the group, they made this album hot. I enjoy listening to this album over and over again. I hope that they continue to make good music and be around as long as The Temptations. At the rate that they're going, they are going to do just that.

I think the cd is pretty good. It's not as bad as the first reviewer said it was. They might be missing one guy out of five guys from the group. They are still the smooth sounds they always have been. All of their albums have been good. It sounds different because its a new record label, but still that doesn't change how Silk sings. Overall its a pretty damn good cd. Silk has been doing this for years and they know their stuff. Its worth the money, go out and get it. Appreciate what Silk has done, and what Silk can do.

ok, i was wondering what the new silk album would be like without lil g gary jenkins, as he was always my favorite member... all i can say is, even without lil' g, silk have done it again! this record may not be as phenomenal as, let's say, the "tonight" album, but it does get 5 stars anyway from me because i can't live without it!

to those who are calling john-john their "new" lead singer, where have you been? he has been in the group from the beginning and always did many if not most of the lead vocals!
he does a great job on this album!

anyway, silk fans...you gotta get this cd! the best song is "violin." "more" and "my girl" are both AWESOME. just those 3 songs alone are worth the price of the cd. i've been playing them over and over! other highlights include the great introduction ("silklove"), "silk time", and a nice cover of "sideshow", as well as "check my story"...give that one a few listens and you will love it! and, one song i didn't care for at first is "you (the baby song)" but after a few listens, i can't stop singing it...this whole cd is very very good!

SILK have taken it to the NEXT LEVEL with this album. there are some areas where they have taken on a new direction, yet the cosmic harmonies and great music silk fans are used to are there as well!

Silk continues to be the BEST (and most underrated) R n B group in existence!

I've been listening to this classic album from 2003 a lot recently. This CD is fantastic. CHECK MY STORY is the best song. Also, THE BABY SONG... INCREDIBLE... that addictive intro... and SIDESHOW. MORE is the bomb. All the songs on this CD are very good.

I can't wait for the new CD from Silk which is coming out in 2006. Let's hope it drops real soon. I'll be first in line to buy it.

Silk, Silk, Silk, what can I say...from Lose Control to Silktime, every cd is amazing!! I was a little skeptical about buying this cd at first because I knew Gary Jenkins left the group, but I bought it anyway. I am so glad I did!! The album, is the bomb!! I even wish the intro was longer. They have such beautiful harmony and music. And plus, Jon Jon held it down!!! I give him much props! Right now my fav is "More" but I also love My girl, Incredible, Side Show, and Violin. I just don't know why people are sleeping on Silk when they are a REAL R&B group. I remember when they first hit the scene when I was 13. I am now 24 and I still pick up a Silk cd before riding in my car. My parents even love them. I just want to tell them that I love them and I want them to sing until they can't sing NO MORE!! Please, for me:o)

Silk is back and doin' da damn thing (excusing my French) on their latest release for Liquid 8 Records, an independent label here in the twinnie twin cities! The latest "casualty" of Elektra records, the guys have rebounded in a big way with a product that should garner them much love from anyone who still believes that artistic quality is to be desired from the recording industry. I've enjoyed reading the reviews and am not surprised that the overwhelming majority are POSITIVE (let's me know that those who placed the CD on the player actually pressed "play" and hung out for awhile). About the absence of Li'l G - it is a sentimental let down however, as the saying goes, the "side" show must go on!!! (thought you all would dig that one 'wink') Darrell is definitely a "Deelite" once again (enough of the puns already!) and doesn't disappoint, writing his posterior end off for the guys, giving fans what they would expect from four of the most talented individuals on planet earth (bigg upss to the ATL!). Let's hope that "love affair" never ends!!!! What a pleasant suprise to hear the Blue Magic remake amongst other songs that if given the chance (otherwise referred to as "airplay") could with relative ease become classics in their own right. My particular favorite is "More" as like any other song he's performed, it showcases John John's incredible vocal prowess (not to mention, it's just a great song!). The young man is indeed talented and, it was good being able to tell him so in person recently. (don't hate!)
I could go on all night but then that would mean that I'd be wasting time mo' betta spent spreading the word about this incredible disc. Those who have it...know you'll need a new one in a matter of days 'cause you gon' wear it out! Those who don't have it...do yourself a favor and the friends you'll be entertaining and get it!!!! Does it help to be familiar with Silk in order to buy this one?....of course, but it's definitely not a prerequisite. Anyone who is a fan of r & b will get off on this one - which is an interesting and intoxicating blend of old and new school soul flava (i hear the Gap Band in "Violin" which is incredible to listen to...anyone out there feelin' me on that one???????) I can't get enough!!!!!

Ok people, I don't why so many of you are sleeping on SILK! I was overseas when "Love Session" came out(in my opinion is the best album yet) and when I got back to the states I was asking people have they heard it and I couldn't believe how many people didn't even know the album was out!!!

Well, they've done again with "Silktime". This album stays with me. You know you gotta have some sound when you're ridin' right? This album is my ridin' music. I don't leave my house without it.

Silk has their own style which is why I love them. They don't sound like anyone else out there. Their harmony is just awesome! I must admit too, that I didn't know what this album was going to be like without Lil' G but "Silktime" is neck and neck with "Love Session"--Five Stars!
Also, you know how with some artists, you buy their album and it's only about one or two songs you actually like or only listen to?
Not "Silktime". To me, every song on the album is bangin' including the intro and damn near all of 'em are sinlge potential - in my opinion. My fav is "My Girl".

If you are a real R&B fan and want to hear something different,
go "Cop dat disc"! The joint is blazin'!

I was really turned on to Silk back in 1999 when I had a party and my cousin brought this cd over and put it on...I'm telling you "Silk Tonight" oh my God, me and my boyfriend was bleepity bleep bleep bleepin thru the whole damn cd! I loved it, and still do...And I'm not gon put on a front for nobody..."Silk Time" is just as good...I'm hooked, Silk has a fan for life!

This time silk snapped again dropping yet another hit album. It was worth the wait and is worth the buy. I give them 5 stars for their excellence in each song on the album along with their past four albums.

I am a huge fan of Silk. I didn't know that they had a new album out until November. The day I found out, I bought the cd. Nowing that they are excellent artist, I knew the songs would be good. I enjoy listening to them. The intro for the cd is the BOMB. That lets you know that the album is good. My other favorite songs on this cd are Alibi, You(#1 song) and Side Show. Normally I don't like when artist re-make songs, but Silk did a good job with Side show. This album is THE BOMB :)
