Manufacture needs polish,

Ordered this to complement a side table in our foyer. The table runner looks nice and the room is definitely improved by its addition, but on close inspection, the stitching along the edges is a bit rough. Like most things, this product is manufactured in China. There are quality control issues, one of which was quite glaring: There is a cardboard insert that has product branding for displaying the package in a storefront...but it is stitched right onto the folded runner itself! So in order to unpack this item, you have to tear off the cardboard cover, rip out the stitches, and try not to notice the ugly holes left behind. The cardboard branding cover is stitched all the way through the folded table runner, front to back, on the left and right side...meaning there are 8 places where you will see tiny holes from ripping off the stitched cardboard insert! It was completely unnecessary for them to stitch the cardboard insert to the product, and makes the cost of this unjustifiable. A ten buck product, perhaps. But not one being sold for twenty. |
