This is a decent book for people who want to use the Silva method to improve athletic performance. But I don't love it for two reasons:

1) The title of this book is a bit misleading. It does have a very small section that talks about food, will power, exercise etc but the main focus is on how to use the mind to enhance competitiveness in the athletic world.

2) This book tries too hard to cover too many things as a result it only manages to touch the surface of each area. It's almost like a buffet table covered with random foods and you must figure out, by yourself, what to put together to make an enjoyable meal.

There is very useful information in this book but I strongly recommend checking this book out from a library before buying it.

The Silva books are always chock full of useful information and techniques, and this book is no exception. It's focused on the sports and fitness world, so those interested in their physical health and wellbeing will find this book of particular interest.

For one wanting to achieve fitness, the thought process must be brought into the equation, and this book is an excellent way to train the mind to be so helpful in the competitiveness of competition training. Training the must and the muscles are brought together under the Silva method.
