Great Collection,

This review is from: Silver Convention - Greatest Hits [Unidisc] (Audio CD)
Silver Convention is best known for "Fly, Robin Fly" and "Get Up and Boogie (That's Right)" in the United States. I know that the group was very popular in Europe. This collection is fine, but it may depend on what songs you want. In this album you will find songs such as "Thank You Mr. DJ" and "Dancing in the Aisle", 2 songs that are not included in the "Best of" disco series. There is enough worthy material to get this album if you can find it.

I had expected that the songs in this CD to be the original versions on from the various albums. However, they were the extended dance versions. Fine for a dance, less so for listening as many lyrics were chopped out in favour of melody. Still ok though.

this is a great compilation of extended versions of the greatest hits of silver convention. it has one missing thought, "telegram" the song they sang to compete in eurovision festival in 1977 for germany. that song it was their demise as it is the curse of eurovision. only abba has been the group that survived the markdown that the eurovision festival causes to all the groups that participate on it.. but there's another CD where you can get it in the 12" version & a double CD where you can find most of their B-sides, so they are pretty much out there. they are not hiding nothing of their catalog.
