Nice jeans, but nothing special
on February 14, 2013
Like every woman, I have been on a hunt for perfect jeans for just about my entire life. I recently ventured into Silver Jeans at a local store but found that, while most of them fit fine, they tended to have a generously flared leg that was a little too wide for my tastes. I wasn't wowed by any of the fits, but their higher price and reputation for being a nicer line made me convinced that it was just the detail of the fit, and that with minor adjustments I would emerge with perfectly jean-ed legs. Enter Amazon, and the 17 inch bootcut on these jeans. I tried on the regular Suki at my store so I was pretty sure of my size and that I liked the fit (a "curvy" fit, snug but cut to fit hips and a butt) and I was hoping I would try these on and find my jeans for life.
Unfortunately, while they look perfectly fine, they just don't work amazingly for me. I'm still on the search for a classy, dark-wash pair of bootcut jeans that flatter me in all the right ways, and these are not it. In general, Silver makes jeans that would look great on you if you are built fairly straight and are looking for thick, structured denim. I'd look elsewhere if you have a less model-esque, more traditionally feminine body, and if a stretchier, thinner denim looks better on you.
